One
evening during a retreat in Yang Min Mountain, Formosa, the Supreme
Master Ching Hai was inspired by the descending dusk and painted this
picture. The setting sun in the picture is radiating dazzling light
beams that glorify the vast sky as it slips behind the summit of the
hill on the opposite side. A dark, dense fog rises from the highly
populated city. The starry, shining dots are the lights of the houses.
