The
positioning of the two trees in the painting was superbly arranged.
Only half of one of the trees was painted into the picture. The Supreme
Master Ching Hai said, "Only in this way could people continue
to imagine how the tree grows taller. It would be meaningless if the
whole tree could be seen!" Although the trees are positioned
on different levels, they are on the same slope. This shows that our
internal spiritual levels may be different on the path of practice,
but all of us are heading for the same goal, and keep growing tall.
We have no fear of all the trials on our path. Our faith is strong
and steady. The painting is saturated with a unique kind of lonesome
beauty, signifying the solitary yet noble state of mind of a sincere
spiritual practitioner.
