The
overseas Au Lac fellow initiates, who respect and love the Supreme
Master Ching Hai very much, often offer Her Au Lac snacks and fruits
to express their devotion.
The
Golden Dragon fruit, depicted in the painting, is a famous Au Lac
fruit which can occasionally be found on the dinner table at the Hsihu
Center. In Master's painting, the color of the pulp is distinctively
black and white, with the crimson skin embellished by the quivering
leaves. It gives an impression of being fresh as well as being deliciously
sweet!
It
is difficult to paint a still life, for if one is not careful, it
can easily turn out dull and boring. Through Her paint brush, Master
has captured the charm of "action in inaction", and given
life to this Golden Dragon fruit, which comes from Her homeland Au
Lac.
