This
painting expresses the terror of the abrupt changes of nature caused
by an impending typhoon. The ocean is chorusing in grandeur, the sky
is filled with rain, and the seagulls are charging against the wind.
All of this seems to serve as a reminder to spiritual practitioners
that they must stand bravely against the endless waves and stormy
gusts of wind encountered on their spiritual journey.
Actually
on this occasion, Master was experimenting with colors and trying
the first strokes, but what transpired was unquestionably a success.
The painting is both vivid and striking, full of power and beauty.
