Dear
Supreme Master Ching Hai:
I
wanted to express to You my sincere appreciation in being given
the opportunity to co-produce the recent "One World...
of peace through music" benefit concert at Shrine Auditorium
in Los Angeles. It was a wonderful experience to meet You. You
have given so graciously and selflessly to so many people in
need throughout the world. The Earth is a better place because
of the impact that You have had on thousands of people.
I
have spoken to the many talented performers and composers who
took part in this festive evening. Everyone agreed that it was
not only a very successful evening for everyone involved, and
all agreed that it was one of those rare, once-in-a-lifetimememorable
moments that will always be fondly remembered.
Composer
Bill Conti's wife told me that this was the best orchestra she
had ever heard him conduct. It must be remembered that he has
conducted his movie and TV music with world-class orchestras
when traveling around the world. Other people in the audience,
who are regular subscribers to the Los Angeles Philharmonic,
told me that this was the best orchestra they had ever heard.
During
the reception after the concert, several people had said that
this concert was like attending the famous Academy Awards. In
addition to being impressed with the great talent, many had
expressed their awe ofat the beauty of the stage sets.
I
have been performing in and working with concerts of all kinds
since 1966 and I must say that this benefit concert was one
of the greatest highlights of my career. It was a great pleasure
to work with some of the talented, kind and hard-working individuals
in the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association. You
have a marvelous group of people in Your organization. They
are truly some of the kindest people that I have ever had the
honor with whom to workto work with.
May
God continue to bless You with Your many talents and Your humanitarian
efforts. Wishing You a wonderful New Year!
Sincerely
Yours,
